Postnatal Doula Services
What is a "doula"?

Doulas provide emotional, practical, informational and advocacy support to the birthing person, their partner and their family.
Doulas offer an additional layer of care alongside standard health professional support (midwives, health visitors, GPs).

Use of doula support during labour and birth has been shown to reduce the need for pain relief, reduce caesarean or assisted delivery rates, and increase the chance of spontaneous vaginal birth.

Postnatal doulas support new parents with recovery from the birth, caring for their new baby, and information around feeding, sleep and any other parenting topics.
